Sending in Dust extractors / vacuum's for repair

Before sending your extractor / vacuum in for repair please follow the below instructions;

  • Remove and dispose of dust bag 
  • Empty Dust bin of any dust / debris
  • Clean out the inside of the machine as best you can.
  • wipe down the extrerior with a damp cloth to remove any surface dust

Failure to clean the tool properly as detailed above will result in us either returning the tool to you or applying a compulsory cleaning charge to the job. 

If your extractor has been used on hazardous waste then you must follow the below instructions for sending in H class tools.

If your extractor / vacuum is H class then the below instructions must be followed before sending the tool into us. We will not work on a tool if the steps are not followed, and the tool will be returned to you.

1. Decontamination & Preparation:

Remove and dispose of the dust bag:
Dispose of the dust bag in accordance with local regulations for hazardous waste. Remove and clean the main filter:
The main filter should be removed and properly disposed of or cleaned as per manufacturer's instructions. 
Decontaminate the hose:
The extraction hose should be sealed in a plastic bag and placed inside the dust container. 
Wipe down the exterior:
The exterior of the vacuum should be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove any surface dust. 
Seal the vacuum:
The vacuum should be sealed in a containment bag designed for H-class equipment. 

2. Identification of use 

Please identify to us what material the extractor has been used on, by placing a clearly visible note with the tool.

3. Transport:

Use a suitable containment bag: Ensure the vacuum is placed in a proper H-class containment bag for transport .
